You can see how long the wait is before you ring.
Six psychologists in Paddington. Sessions are 50 minutes: $230 standard, or $131.05 out of pocket with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP.
If the wait is too long we will say so and give you two other practices to try, because being told “we’ll put you on the list” when you are struggling is its own kind of harm.
Four of our six psychologists. Updated weekly.
Every clinician is on the AHPRA register, with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Processed while you are here, with a GP referral and plan.
Paid at the desk after the session.
Held open every week for card holders and hardship.
Mon to Thu until 7:30pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm.
Three bays on site, side-door entry, lift to level one.
Where we can help
Eight areas people most often ring about. Choose one to see the approach we use and who it suits. If yours is not here, ring and ask: we will tell you who does it.
Generalised worry, panic, social and health anxiety, specific phobias.
Intrusive thoughts and the rituals built to manage them.
From an acute episode to years of flat, low-grade mood.
Single-incident, childhood and work-related trauma, paced deliberately.
Exhaustion, detachment and reduced capability at work.
Pregnancy, postnatal depression and anxiety, birth trauma. Babies welcome.
Anxiety, low mood, school refusal, and the aftermath of online bullying.
Bereavement, diagnosis, separation and the losses that are not deaths.
Our psychologists
Four of the six are profiled here. Fit matters more than credentials, so reception will steer you rather than book you with whoever is free soonest.
- Clinical psychologist · principal
Trauma and post-traumatic stress; emergency services and healthcare staff.
Anxiety, OCD and exposure work; early-morning sessions.
Depression, grief, and chronic or terminal illness.
Teenagers 13 to 18: school refusal and adolescent anxiety.
What a session actually costs you
Ask your GP for a Mental Health Treatment Plan first. It takes a longer appointment and it entitles you to ten rebated psychology sessions a calendar year, which changes the cost of therapy by more than a thousand dollars. We process the Medicare rebate at the desk, so it lands in your account rather than sitting in a claim queue.
Standard session, 50 minutes
The fee before any rebate. Paid at the desk after the session, by card or HICAPS.
With a Mental Health Treatment Plan
What you pay once the $98.95 Medicare rebate is processed at the desk. Ten sessions a calendar year, with a GP referral.
Cannot afford it? Ask about a bulk-billed place: four are held each week for Health Care Card holders, pensioners and people in hardship.

Things people ask before booking
The things people ask on the phone before they book. Anything not here, ask reception, or see fees & funding.
Ready when you are
Reception is staffed 8:30am to 5:00pm weekdays. You will speak to an actual person, and you do not have to explain what is going on to book. If it is urgent, please use the crisis lines above rather than the form.
